Configuring a Notification of Scheduled/Temporary Maintenance

This section explains how to notify the system information such as a maintenance plan by email to contributors.

  1. Select ‘RDM Announcement’ in the sidebar on the ‘GakuNin RDM Admin’ screen.
    The ‘RDM Announcement’ screen will appear.

  2. Click the ‘Edit’ button in ‘Options’.



    The ‘RDM Announcement – Options’ screen will appear.

  3. Enter the necessary information such as API for linking to ‘Twitter’, and click the ‘Save’ button.



    You can change this configuration when you send a message. Please refer to ‘Send Emails and Messages to Users’ below.


Send Emails and Messages to Users

This section explains how to send emails and messages to users.

  1. Select ‘RDM Announcement’ in the sidebar on the ‘GakuNin RDM Admin’ screen.

    The ‘RDM Announcement’ screen will appear.

  2. Enter ‘Title’ and ‘Body’, select the sending format from ‘Type’, and click the ‘Preview’ button.



    The preview of the information entered in ‘Title’ and ‘Body’ will be displayed.

  3. Check the contents and click the ‘Send’ button if it is okay.

    If you wish to modify, click the ‘Cancel’ button.

  • You have selected ‘Email’ option from ‘Type’: By clicking the ‘Send’ button, an email message will be sent to all OSF users who are affiliated to your institution.
  • You have selected ‘SNS (Twitter)’ option from ‘Type’: By clicking the ‘Send’ button, a message will be posted on the linked destinations shown on the ‘RDM Announcement – Options’ (i.e. these will be displayed when you click the ‘Edit’ button in ‘Options’ on the ‘RDM Announcement’ screen).  You can change the linked destinations when you send a message.
