GakuNin RDM is a web servi= ce for researchers to manage their research data (e.g. articles, experiment= al/survey data, programs, images/sounds/video data). You can store your fil= es in storages easily using drag-and-drop on the web browser, and share you= r data within your research team or with co-researchers in a closed environ= ment.
GakuNin RDM is a service operated by the National Institute of=
Informatics. This service is currently at the validation test phase and ai=
ming to start real operation in 2020.
The free services GakuNin = RDM offers include the basic functions of research management services and = a certain amount of standard storage.
GakuNin RDM is available t= o any researchers and graduate students who are affiliated with the GakuNin= member institutions.
GakuNin RDM supports the w= eb browsers for smart phones and tablets.

When you use GakuNin RDM, = you will need an account on one of the GakuNin member institutions=E2=80=99= IdPs. If your institution is not a GakuNin federation member, they need to= consider joining GakuNin before implementing GakuNin RDM.
GakuNin RDM offers a stand= ard storage as well as extra storage, which can be used by linking to the s= torage of your affiliated institution.
It is a cloud storage serv= ice that you can use within GakuNin RDM.
The restrictions on the st= andard storage of GakuNin RDM are up to 100GB per user and up to 5GB per fi= le.
GakuNin RDM can be linked = to object storages provided by major providers and those on on-premise serv= ers of the member institutions.
GakuNin RDM does not publi= sh your data.
You can control versions o= f the files you uploaded on GakuNin RDM.
GakuNin RDM links to the r= esearch data publishing platform (WEKO) and allows you to register your dat= a to repositories.
By using the GakuNin RDM= =E2=80=99s repository add-on, just as our storage service, you can drag-and= -drop research data and register it to a repository.
As GakuNin RDM=E2=80=99s a= dd-ons, you can link to source code repositories, document management tools= , figure and table sharing services, data analysis platforms, workflow engi= nes, etc.
GakuNin RDM provides its s=
ource code as open source software. You can develop unique functions as add=
-ons. We will proactively import add-ons that are in demand and versatile.<=
