About uAapprove.jp

uApprove developped by SWITCH is a plugin for Shibboleth IdP to provide user consent feature on release of user's attributes. uApprove.jp, which is an extension of the uApprove, allows users to select attributes to be released. uApprove.jp works as follows:

1. Redirected to an IdP from an SP, and IdP requires a pair of username and password.

 2. All attributes to be sent are shown according to attribute-filter configuration. Optional attributes for the SP are shown with check boxes. User can control release of attributes by switching the check boxes. Mandatory attributes must be defined in metadata provided by the SP with the isRequired boolean attribute of the RequestedAttribute element.

This page is shown only first time of access to each SP unless value of any attributes is changed. You can also request to show the page again by checking "Reset my attribute release approvals." at entring username/password.

3. Mandatory attributes and selected optional attributes are sent to the SP.
