【2022/1/21 10:00】 GakuNin RDM Response to Apache Log4j Remote Code Execution Vulnerability (CVE-2021-44228)

GakuNin RDM has performed maintenance and applied the workaround provided by The Apache Software Foundation.

As of Friday, January 7, 2022, all known countermeasures against Apache Log4j Security Vulnerabilities have been cleared.
We also conducted a log check to ensure that there were no attacks.

Announcements:  GakuNin RDM officially launched

National Institute of Informatics has developed a research data management platform called "GakuNin RDM" for systematically managing
and sharing prepublication research data, and began its full operation from Monday, February 15th, 2021.

We will respond to application and inquiries after January 4, 2022.
GakuNin RDM and application system will keep running during this time, but inquiries and processing of applications will be suspended.

GakuNin RDM service will be unavailable due to the network switching of GakuNin RDM.

●Outline of maintenance work

Service stop: 00:00 on Dec 8, 2021[JST] about 3 hours
Limited function: Access to NII storage
Purpose: To change the configuration of the AWS SINET connection and to make the multipath routing via the SINET Osaka DC

Please refrain from using GakuNin RDM due to network switching between GakuNin RDM and NII standard storage.
It doesn't influence users who use institutional storage.
